THE LAST BLOG POST!
Well this semester has been pretty good. I have attempted to take English104 three times, but have dropped out after the first week every time. This was the third time and in the end I am very glad I stuck this one out. I am one who has never like English classes...ever! But Mr. McArdle really made this class enjoyable. I really feel like he did a great job with our class, and I know I learned a lot. I might only have one year left here at BSU, but what I learned from McArdle will definitely be helpful. SO I would just like to thank Mr. McArdle for making my experience in English104 one that was enjoyable and worthwhile!
Turkey Hunting..Not
So, I was going to go turkey hunting on Wednesday with my dad and brother. I spent Tuesday night getting my gear ready, finding spots on the map and putting them into my gps and buying my license. We planned on leaving at 4am so this meant that I needed to be up by 3. It had been raining Tuesday night (big surprise right) but I figured it wouldn't be a big deal. Anyways, I get up at 3, and at 3:15 my brother texts me and says he doesn't feel like going since it was raining and everything. 3:17 my dad calls and says he doesn't want to go either. I was just like whatever and went back to bed bummed. Wake up, its not raining, sun is shinning, and I look at the radar and where we were going to be hunting and no rain. Oh well I guess. Better luck next time. Maybe I'll be able to go this next week since I dont have many finals and work has been slow. =)
Finals
Well looks like my final schedule is pretty easy...I only have to physically go and take one final. I also have two take home finals, but they should be easy. This semester has been pretty laid back and I've got good grades. All I ask for now is to finish strong. Hopefully next semester will be similar. Only one year left until I'm out of here!

End of the Semester!!
As you all know the semester is almost over!! This is probably the best thing since spring break!! I cannot wait to have some time away from school and some time to actually enjoy myself and days away from it all. Still totally pumped about my Canada trip in a couple months and my birthday is in June. So I have plenty to look forward to. Im sure everyone else has some sort of plan once school is out to enjoy themselves, and I hope everyone does.
Final Cheerleading update.
Well my cousin didn't make it through the final cut. She almost made it all the way, but they cut her before the final tryout process. She was a little bummed, but was still proud of herself for making it as far as she did. She will be trying out again next year, so maybe she'll do better then!!
Mushroom Hunting
I went muchroom huntin on Monday and found 50 "Spike" mushroom (Also known as Pecker-heads) because of their shape. It was the first time I've been this year and I did pretty well. Not as well as my brother, who went out and found 400 mushrooms. He must have a secret spot he's not telling me about. Anyways, I fried up the mushrooms I found, along with some blue gill (Fish) I had and made me a Good O'l Fried food dinner!!
Rain sucks!
So....all this rain. Im pretty sure I'm going to go fill my boat up, pack a few weeks worth of food, and some clothes in it, and get ready for a flood. I think in the last 10 days we've has like 2 days it didnt rain. Its kind of becoming depressing. I want nice weather and sunshine so that I can take my boat out on the lake and soak up some sun!
Running!
So the other day I went for a run/jog. This was the first time I had ran in a long time. After about 400 meters I was out of breath. lol. I ended up running a total of 2 miles in about 16 minutes, so not bad. Averaged an 8 minute mile. Im going to try and keep up my running so I can get back into shape and start working out more. Gotta Get BUFF!! haha

4/17/11: Broad Ripple, Moving, and Great Food
So today I went to Broad Ripple to help my brother move his girlfriend out and into her new apartment. And after we got everything moved we went to a restaurant called 3 Sisters. It was interesting at first, because its in like a house, and upstairs is a hair salon. Its very strange at first, but my brother said it was really good so we decided to eat there. Come to find out Guy Fieri from Food Network's Drive-ins, Diner, and Dives had eaten there. So that was pretty cool. Anyways I ordered one of the items featured on the show. it was called the D'Nai, and its pork and kale sandwich. It was SOOOOO GOOD. It was very juicy and a little messy to eat, but it was delicious. We also split a piece of a blueberry and goat cheese pie. Which at first sounds so gross, but again it was sooo good. It wasnt to sweet or rich, it was a perfect balance between sweet, tart, and creamy. Good home style cooking! Oh and my brothers girlfriend paid for lunch which was sweet. Later that evening we went to the Cheesecake Factory, which I have never been to before. And again as the trend has been thus far in the day the food was good and the cheese cake was incredible!!
4/16/11: Movie Night and Work Again
I went to the midnight showing of Scream 4 with my cousin and her boyfriend on Thursday, and it was pretty good. It had the original cast and as always a good twist as to who the killer was. Didnt really see it coming at all. But all in all was a decent Scream movie. Anyways, work was super busy on Friday! We almost had a record night and I was super exhausted. I actually fell asleep on the floor for a couple of hours before I realized it was almost 3 in the morning. Saturday actually wasn't any better. We were equally as busy on Saturday and we had less people. To say the least it was very stressful.
4/12/11: Colts Cheerleader II
Well my cousin has made it to the final selection process of being a colts cheerleader. Everyone in my family is super excited for her. Hopefully she makes it all the way! Anyways.. on another note. Work has been busy. I'm planning on helping my brothers girlfriend move out in a few days. I haven't seen him in a while so hopefully we get to hangout for a little bit, and maybe go out to eat or something.

4/8/11: Colts Cheerleaders
3/27/11: About to get busy...
Went into work the other day and my boss asked me if I was ready for some more work. And of course I was like ya. The last month was terrible and was probably the worst check I ever had. This is when he began to tell me that we will have a $10,000 apparel order in the next few weeks! The order is for one of my old high school teachers army squadron. It sucks though because the end of the semester is coming up and school is always busy, so Im going to be stretched thin the nest few weeks. I guess I better work on managing my time more efficiently.
3/23/11: Plastic Surgery Craziness!!
So the other day I got up early before class and I was watching th news. The two reporters were talking about a women who had over 50 plastic surgeries and was 55 years old. They said that she had spent over a hundred thousand dollars on plastic surgery. The results are pretty amazing and doesnt look fake which is also very incredible.

3/20/11: Marsh is Better!
Went to the Marsh in Muncie off of Tillitson today and they are just about done with the remodeling of the inside, and I notices a new frozen seafood section. After closer investigation I noticed a huge variety of different types of fish and seafood. They had whole fish that were not filleted, like salmon, flounder, and trout. They also had blue crab, king crab lobster tails, oysters, and even snails. But two fish caught my eye, Mahi-Mahi and Yellow Fin Tuna. I bought two fillets of the Mahi-Mahi and one of the tuna. They weren't real cheap but a decent price for the amount I bought. I baked the Mahi-Mahi with lemons, garlic and some other seasonings and I teriyaki glazed the tuna. I was a little upset the tuna wasn't good enough for sashimi style sushi, but it turned out great in the teriyaki.
3/17/11: Research Paper Problems
Okay so my research paper has been giving me some issues. Well not in the sense that the paper is alive and disobedient, but I have just been struggling with it (lame I know). I dont really know where I want to go with it and I'm not real sure about my stance on the issue. I need to decide what I want to do and I need to really work on it, because its due in like 2 weeks. Im starting to feel the pressure of the end of the semester, with all the projects and papers that have to be done. I just cant wait for school to be over and summer to begin. After this year only one to go!
3/14/11: No Work, No Money
Okay so we're back from spring break and I definitely spent way to much money last week. My job printing shirts has been really slow this month, and my bank account is needing a fill up. I found out that a shirt job at work got bought out by another shirt printing company and this makes me very angry. Big company's are always trying to run out the little man! Making this poor college student even more poor. I need a more reliable job to pay the bills. two jobs just isn't enough and I don't want any more student loans to pay for living expenses.
I NEED TO KEEP BLOGGING!!
Well its been awhile since I've blogged and I'm behind so this is the beginning of some major blogging!! A lot of things have happened since spring break and I'm sure many things that are blog worthy are still to come! I will try to keep these next few dated blogs in order, but I might forget something and add it in out of order, so bear with me if this happens.

I feel sorry for anyone who is going to be left in Muncie or anywhere cold....but dont worry, Ill enjoy the nice sunny and warm weather for you!

I HATE ICE!!!
So the other day I was driving home from work, and it was raining where I was working. I had heard on the radio that there was a winter storm warning north of the town I was working in, but didn't really think about it. As I was driving along, I realized the roads were getting bad, so I slowed down. I slowed down so much, that I had other cars passing me. To make this long story short I ended up spinning out and running off the road, hitting a fence, and ended up kinda in a field. Unfortunately my collision deductible is $1000. And I most likely didn't have that much damage on my car.
I ended up cracking a fender, scratching my bumper pretty good, and bent my tail pipe. It was kind of crazy that I took a picture of my car before I left work, and ended up spinning out ten minutes later. I bought a new rear small quarter today though off of Ebay for $35, so thats a cheap fix. And maybe ill be able to get a new bumper for cheap too!

Sunday!!
Today was a great day!! I went to the Boat Sport and Travel Show (BSTS) and the Deer and Turkey Expo in Indianapolis. I went with my brother, his girlfriend, and my girlfriend.
after deductions. My deer antlers scored 132 5/8 inches and my brothers scored 139 2/8 inches. So neither of our antlers made it into the records.
scored, and potentially placed into the Hoosier Record Book. Antlers are scored based on the total number of inches between the two antlers, minus
the deductions. To be placed into the record book it has to total 140 inches

So neither of our antlers made it into the records. =( After the BSTS, my girlfriend and I came back to Muncie to go to Cirque Shanghai Bai Xi and it was awesome! They did a bunch of balancing acts and acrobatic things. It was an extremely neat experience, and i would definitely go to watch it again!

GREAT FOOD!!
So last week I went to an awesome restaurant in Indianapolis. The place is called Fogo de Chao. If you've never heard of it, it is a Brazilian style steak house, and it is incredible! Normally the price for one person; including salad bar, main course, and desserts, is around sixty dollars, but right now they are doing a special for around thirty five to forty dollars. The dinning experience is quite unique. You are given a clean plate, and a cardboard disc that is red on one side and green on the other. If you set the disc on green, servers will bring meat to you straight from the grill, on huge skewers, and will ask if you want any. If you do, you tell them your preferred choice of how its cooked, and they give it to you. Now if you forget to turn you disc to red, the servers just keep coming with more and more meat!! It can get crazy! You should go hungry, very hungry, because when you leave you probably wont want to eat anymore for about a month! They also have very good desserts including the Fogo de Chao Signature Papaya Cream, South American Flan, Creme Brule, Turtle Cheesecake, Molten Chocolate Cake and Key Lime Pie. Which I have had all but the Chocolate Cake, and they were all delicious! So if you ever get a chance, and you love meat, you should definitely go here and enjoy a wonderful meat filler dinner!

Canada Summer Trip
Another Sunday rolls around, and once again I'm not ready for the week to start. I will definitely have work to do this week at one of my jobs, so thats good. I need to save up some spending cash for Mexico in a few weeks and now I need to start saving for a Canoe Canada/fishing trip I'll be taking in late June or July.
If you ever just want to get away from it all I totally recommend going to Canada on camping/hiking/fishing trip. You are literally in the middle of nowhere. No cell service, not a town for hundreds of miles, just miles and miles of woods and lakes!! Its an awesome experience. Its nice to get away like this because you dont really have an option other than just being in nature and living in it. Its like nothing else!

Yep
So...classes are over for the week, and I'm about to leave for work in Indy for the weekend. I haven't finished my annotated bibliography yet, and I feel like its not going to be very good, but anyways.. I had Buffalo Wild Wings last night, and when I called in my order, I swear the person that I talked to was deaf. I had to repeat my number 3 times, and I spelled my name twice. It gets worse though. The person on the phone told me it would be ready in twenty to thirty minutes, and this was at 7:33. When I went to pick it up at 8:15 it wasn't ready, or so I thought. I paid for my food and stood waiting until 8:45, when they finally gave me my food. When the guy from the back brought out the food, I overheard him tell the counter person that the name was misspelled and that it had been there for 15 minutes...WOW!! Are you serious. I couldn't believe it. How in the world could the name have been misspelled, I clearly pronounced and spelled my name to the person on the phone two times!! To say the least I was not happy. I work at a restaurant, and when people order and pickup food, it isn't acceptable if their order isn't ready when you tell them it will be. There is no excuse for this. If it will take a long time for the order tell the person it will be that long. Don't sugarcoat it and tell them it will be done sooner, and there is no reason the person talking on the phone shouldn't know how long food will take to be ready. Its called asking questions. GO to the kitchen ask the cooks how long it will take and tell the customer that time. Its That SIMPLE!! But anyway, totally off subject, here is a video I came across this week on Youtube, I thought it was funny.

Fun in Indy.
Went to Indy today. I drove down to the Pepsi Coliseum to go ice skating for my little cousins 6th birthday party. This was only the second time I've been ice skating, but I must be a natural because I'm pretty good!! One of my other cousins boyfriend had never ice skated before and he was very wobbly in his skates, but he only fell twice so that was good. Anyway, ice skating was fun but short lived, because the session only lasted 2 hours minus the time for the Zamboni machine to resurface the ice. After we got done we went back to a family members house to watch the Super Bowl and eat some good home cooked food. I left early though so I could get home to do some homework and write on my blog!! Time to start another week! GO PACKERS!!

Ready for a Vacation!!
So after this week with all the ice, snow, and the LACK of cancelled school, I am totally ready for spring break! I have survived Snow-pocalypse 2011 and deserve my R&R. The Cabo Beach will be perfect, especially with the happy hour from 7am to 7pm everyday!!! =) If you haven't ever been to Cabo, I recommend a visit, and if you go don't get all inclusive and get stuck in your hotel all day! It isn't dangerous if you stay on the beaten path. The locals are all pretty friendly if you respect them, and the weather is always beautiful and sunny! There are tons of activities to do, from riding jet skis, para-sailing, glass bottom boat rides and even boozes cruises. They also have a wide selection of deep sea fishing available for the anglers out there, and plenty of sandy beaches for all the beach bums!! All in all Cabo is GREAT!! In less than 30 days I'll be sitting on the beach soaking up the sun and drinking a cold one!! Sunday, January 30, 2011
Ah the weekend!
Another weekend coming to an end and another week of school and work ahead. NOT looking forward to any of it, but hey what can you do?! On a negative note, my Playstation 3 broke down the other day. I had to send it in to Sony to get it fixed, and its going to cost me a hundred bucks! Good thing is I've been able to get more homework done. haha. Can't wait until I get it back, because I'm really jonesin to play some GT5 and Call of Duty! I need an escape from reality for a little while. =) I still need to finish my National Gaze paper, and transform my very rough draft into a presentable paper. I have a Criminal Justice test to study for and take by Friday this week, and another paper for Natural Resources to write. See you all in class Tuesday!

Just a review of the week!!
Thursday, January 27th, 2011
Walked into class on Thursday and the seats were all arraigned in a circle for our intensive reviews. Professor McArdle wouldn't let anyone sit in the first chair.. Real stickler on seating I guess. Anyways once class actually began we started on our intensive reviews. We went around the room and everyone got a chance to comment on each persons paper, and point out strong and weak points. Professor McArdle commented on the visual rhetoric that Brandon had in his paper, but took out. He told us that pictures in our papers are okay as long as they support our text and aren't HUGE!! Before class ended we start to review Kim's paper but we didn't get finished. On Tuesday of next week we will be finishing Kim's paper and the last three of the 6 papers for the intensive reviews.
Tuesday, January 25th, 2011
To start out, I got to class a little late because I forgot my peer review worksheets at my apartment. When I got back to class professor McArdle was reviewing the chapters we had been assigned the previous week and the readings for that day. We split up into our peer review groups for the last part of class and before we left McArdle told us our assignment for Thursday.

Another weekend of work...
SO once again its late...Just got done working a 12 hour shift at my weekend job at Grambolis Pizza. Not looking forward to tomorrow, and another 12 hours shift. WOW thats 24 hours in two days! And that doesn't include the 28 hours I worked during the week. I'm definitely tired of working and already getting tired of school. Not to mention the first draft of our National Gaze paper is due tomorrow by 11pm ugh.!! I just feel completely swamped with everything this week. Sometimes I wonder if anyone else ever really feels the pressure that I do. Going to school with at least 12 credit hours every semester and working two part time jobs, and working enough hours to be considered full time. If only I had to go to school. Life would be a lot easier. We can all wish right?

Work SUCKS!!!
Lets see.. it is 1:31am Saturday night/Sunday morning, and I just got home from a thirteen hour shift. When I walked into my apartment my roomies are sitting on the couch watching one of the best TV shows ever, Art Mann Presents. This makes me happy and glad to be home. I am so glad that I don't have to work tomorrow and that I get to hang out with my brother in Broad Ripple. I hope that this coming week doesn't suck and that I don't have to work very much, because that would be awesome!! Well I'm going to play some Call of Duty Black Ops with one of my neighbors and then head to bed. And to leave you with something actually good, a nice looking and relevant sign.

A little About me...i guess
Hey everyone! I've never blogged before so I'm not real sure what to do. But I am just going to start with a little information about me. Im currently a senior here at Ball State with the hope of graduating as soon as possible. I'm a big outdoors man and I enjoy everything that has to do with being outside. For this reason and a few others I have chosen to major in Natural Resources and I am also minoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology. My career goal is to become a Conservation Officer for Indiana, but I would consider moving to another state if a had to. I enjoy going out every once in a while to have a good time, but I work two double shifts every weekend and throughout the week. So I really don't have a life while school is in session. Here's a video of how I feel at work sometimes. Enjoy!!
