I HATE ICE!!!

So the other day I was driving home from work, and it was raining where I was working.  I had heard on the radio that there was a winter storm warning north of the town I was working in, but didn't really think about it.  As I was driving along, I realized the roads were getting bad, so I slowed down.  I slowed down so much, that I had other cars passing me.  To make this long story short I ended up spinning out and running off the road, hitting a fence, and ended up kinda in a field.  Unfortunately my collision deductible is $1000.  And I most likely didn't have that much damage on my car.

I ended up cracking a fender, scratching my bumper pretty good, and bent my tail pipe. It was kind of crazy that I took a picture of my car before I left work, and ended up spinning out ten minutes later.  I bought a new rear small quarter today though off of Ebay for  $35, so thats a cheap fix.  And maybe ill be able to get a new bumper for cheap too!

Sunday!!

Today was a great day!!  I went to the Boat Sport and Travel Show (BSTS) and the Deer and Turkey Expo in Indianapolis.  I went with my brother, his girlfriend, and my girlfriend.
My brother and I brought our deer antlers in to have them professionally
scored, and potentially placed into the Hoosier Record Book.  Antlers are scored based on the total number of inches between the two antlers, minus
the deductions.  To be placed into the record book it has to total 140 inches
after deductions.  My deer antlers scored 132 5/8 inches and my brothers scored 139 2/8 inches.  So neither of our antlers made it into the records.
=(  After the BSTS, my girlfriend and I came back to Muncie to go to Cirque Shanghai Bai Xi and it was awesome! They did a bunch of balancing acts and acrobatic things.  It was an extremely neat experience, and i would definitely go to watch it again!

GREAT FOOD!!

So last week I went to an awesome restaurant in Indianapolis.  The place is called Fogo de Chao.  If you've never heard of it, it is a Brazilian style steak house, and it is incredible!  Normally the price for one person; including salad bar, main course, and desserts, is around sixty dollars, but right now they are doing a special for around thirty five to forty dollars.  The dinning experience is quite unique.  You are given a clean plate, and a cardboard disc that is red on one side and green on the other.  If you set the disc on green, servers will bring meat to you straight from the grill, on huge skewers, and will ask if you want any.  If you do, you tell them your preferred choice of how its cooked, and they give it to you. Now if you forget to turn you disc to red, the servers just keep coming with more and more meat!!  It can get crazy!  You should go hungry, very hungry, because when you leave you probably wont want to eat anymore  for about a month!  They also have very good desserts including the  Fogo de Chao Signature Papaya Cream, South American Flan, Creme Brule, Turtle Cheesecake, Molten Chocolate  Cake and Key Lime Pie. Which I have had all but the Chocolate Cake, and they were all delicious!  So if you ever get a chance, and you love meat, you should definitely go here and enjoy a wonderful meat filler dinner!

Canada Summer Trip

Another Sunday rolls around, and once again I'm not ready for the week to start.  I will definitely have work to do this week at one of my jobs, so thats good.  I need to save up some spending cash for Mexico in a few weeks and now I need to start saving for a Canoe Canada/fishing trip I'll be taking in late June or July.
If you ever just want to get away from it all I totally recommend going to Canada on camping/hiking/fishing trip. You are literally in the middle of nowhere. No cell service, not a town for hundreds of miles, just miles and miles of woods and lakes!!  Its an awesome experience.  Its nice to get away like this because you dont really have an option other than just being in nature and living in it.  Its like nothing else!

Yep

So...classes are over for the week, and I'm about to leave for work in Indy for the weekend.  I haven't finished my annotated bibliography yet, and I feel like its not going to be very good, but anyways..  I had Buffalo Wild Wings last night, and when I called in my order, I swear the person that I talked to was deaf.  I had to repeat my number 3 times, and I spelled my name twice.  It gets worse though.  The person on the phone told me it would be ready in twenty to thirty minutes, and this was at 7:33.  When I went to pick it up at 8:15 it wasn't ready, or so I thought.  I paid for my food and stood waiting until 8:45, when they finally gave me my food.  When the guy from the back brought out the food, I overheard him tell the counter person that the name was misspelled and that it had been there for 15 minutes...WOW!!  Are you serious.  I couldn't believe it.  How in the world could the name have been misspelled, I clearly pronounced and spelled my name to the person on the phone two times!!  To say the least I was not happy.  I work at a restaurant, and when people order and pickup food, it isn't acceptable if their order isn't ready when you tell them it will be.  There is no excuse for this. If it will take a long time for the order tell the person it will be that long.  Don't sugarcoat it and tell them it will be done sooner, and there is no reason the person talking on the phone shouldn't know how long food will take to be ready. Its called asking questions.  GO to the kitchen ask the cooks how long it will take and tell the customer that time.  Its That SIMPLE!!  But anyway, totally off subject, here is a video I came across this week on Youtube, I thought it was funny.

Fun in Indy.

Went to Indy today.  I drove down to the Pepsi Coliseum to go ice skating for my little cousins 6th birthday party.  This was only the second time I've been ice skating, but I must be a natural because I'm pretty good!!  One of my other cousins boyfriend had never ice skated before and he was very wobbly in his skates, but he only fell twice so that was good.  Anyway, ice skating was fun but short lived, because the session only lasted 2 hours minus the time for the Zamboni machine to resurface the ice.  After we got done we went back to a family members house to watch the Super Bowl and eat some good home cooked food.  I left early though so I could get home to do some homework and write on my blog!! Time to start another week!   GO PACKERS!!

Ready for a Vacation!!

So after this week with all the ice, snow, and the LACK of cancelled school, I am totally ready for spring break!  I have survived Snow-pocalypse 2011 and deserve my R&R.  The Cabo Beach will be perfect, especially with the happy hour from 7am to 7pm everyday!!! =)  If you haven't ever been to Cabo, I recommend a visit, and if you go don't get all inclusive and get stuck in your hotel all day!  It isn't dangerous if you stay on the beaten path.  The locals are all pretty friendly if you respect them, and the weather is always beautiful and sunny!  There are tons of activities to do, from riding jet skis, para-sailing, glass bottom boat rides and even boozes cruises.  They also have a wide selection of deep sea fishing available for the anglers out there, and plenty of sandy beaches for all the beach bums!!  All in all Cabo is GREAT!!  In less than 30 days I'll be sitting on the beach soaking up the sun and drinking a cold one!!
